Recent Awards and Grants at RF-Connect Lab
October 2023:

Dr. Dey has received a funding from United States Department of Agriculture: Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) as a Co- Principal Investigator (Co-PI) as a part of the Congressional appropriation for an amount of approximately $1.2M.

September 2023:

Dr. Dey has been awarded the prestigious National Science Foundation (NSF) Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Grant as the Principal Investigator (PI). With the generous support of $770,100 from NSF, our lab will be able acquire the state-of-the-art DragonFly IV 3D printer from Nano Dimension. The DragonFly IV provides a hybrid printing system by using simultaneous deposition of dielectric and conductive inks to enable the production of additively manufactured electronic circuits such as multi-layer PCBs, radio frequency devices such as antennas, embedded semiconductors, sensors, and other components for various applications. April 2022:

Md Ashif Islam Oni have been awarded 2023-2024 North Dakota Water Resources Research Institute (NDWRRI) Graduate Fellowship which will support his research project “Towards a Low-cost, Pervasive Metasurface-based Dielectric Resonator Wireless Soil Salinity and Moisture Sensing System for Precision Agriculture”. Congratulations!!

April 2022:

Md Mirazdur Rahman have been awarded 2023-2024 North Dakota Water Resources Research Institute (NDWRRI) Fellowship which will support his research project “Smart radiometer for soil moisture detection in view of an efficient irrigation system”. Congratulations!!

March 2022:

Srabana Maiti's paper on "Novel Radio Frequency (RF) Based Wireless Gas Sensing using Polypyrrole (PPy) Smart Films" is accepted for IEEE AP-S/URSI 2023 Conference. Congratulations!

Md Ashif Islam Oni's paper on "Multi-band Wearable Metasurface Antenna for Wireless Body Area Network Applications" is accepted for IEEE AP-S/URSI 2023 Conference. Congratulations!

November 2022:

Dr. Dey received the ND EPSCoR State Office equipment award of US $39,947 for his project “Enabling Fabrication of Embroidery Based Wearable Textile Antenna and Sensors for Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) and Internet of Everything (IoE)”!!

August 2022:

Dr. Dey received the NDSU Undergrad Biomedical Research Program Fund of US $5,635 for his project Non-Invasive Monitoring of Arterial Waveform to Determine Biophysiological Parameters using Radio Frequency Based Sensors!!

August 2022:

Srabana Maiti joins the research group at RF-Connect Lab as a Masters Student. She brings in expertise in sensing applications for precision agriculture. Welcome!!

June 2022:

Md Mirazur Rahman and Md Ashif Islam Oni from "NDSU RF-Connect Lab" have been awarded the prestigious student travel grant from IEEE AP-S/URSI 2022 Symposium. This is the flagship event of the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society. The travel grant was awarded to only 20 students across the world and my students who joined me in January 2022 have secured two of them! 

May 2022:

Dr. Dey received the NDSU Foundation: Carl A. & Jean Y. White Memorial Endowment Fund Endowment Fund of US $4,400 for Development of Low-Cost, Printable Chipless Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based Sensors for Leaf Wetness Detection!!

May 2022:

Dr Dey received the NDSU Foundation: Centennial Endowment Fund of US $5,000 for his projectNon-Invasive Monitoring of Arterial Waveform to Determine Biophysiological Parameters using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Based Sensing Technique!!

May 2022:

Dr. Dey received the NDSU Foundation: Board of Trustees Endowment Fund of US $1,000 for his project Enabling Outdoor Measurement and Field Analysis of RF Antennas and Sensors for Internet of Things (IoT) Applications!!

February 2022:

Dr. Dey received Research and Creative Activity (RCA) Research Support Services Award to participate in software training sessions offered by SIMUSERV GmbH!!

January 2022:

Md Ashif Islam Oni joins the lab as a Ph.D. student. Mr. Oni brings expertise in Metamaterials and Broadband Antenna Designing for Beyond-5G Applications. Welcome!!

January 2022:

Dr. Dey received an Equipment Award from the North Dakota Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (ND EPSCoR) worth US $75,000!!

November 2021:
