Md Mirazur Rahman

Md Mirazur Rahman is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Dakota State University. He received his B.Sc. Engineering (Hons.) from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh in 2007 and M.Sc. in Wireless Networks (Physical Pathways) from Queen Mary University of London in 2009. He joined Primeasia Univesrity, Bangladesh in 2014 as a faculty member in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and served there as an Assistant Professor for about seven years. He has been teaching several undergraduate courses including Microwave Engineering, Mobile Cellular Communications, Communication Theory, Electrical Circuits and Energy Conversion. He has authored or coauthored several articles in reputed journal and conferences and his past research works include designing of adaptive antenna arrays for advanced WLAN applications, cooperative MIMO OFDM system, on-body radio channel performance of a compact ultra wideband antenna, LTE and 5G structure. His current research work is on building a satellite based IoT platform which involves design of smart antenna and link budget calculation. His areas of research interest include RF, microwave engineering, smart antennas for mobile and satellite communications, smart antenna arrays, beam-forming networks, RFID, wireless sensors, wireless networks, 5G and IoT. He has a resourceful academic background and he has proved his academic excellence through several awards such as MIST Level Scholarship during his undergraduate study and International Science and Engineering Excellence Awards from Queen Mary University of London during his M.Sc. study.
